1) Everlasting Love
The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness”” (Jer 31:3 NASB).
I especially love how this scripture depicts the wooing process. “I have drawn you With loving kindness”. How sweet to know that He came for me because He loved me. And it’s sweet to recall how kind He was in His approach to me.
2) Unconditional Love.
But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
Titus 3:4-5
Oh the peace that comes with knowing that my failures will never make me less-loved! He didn’t love me because I was good enough, he loves me, period! This inspires me to run to Him for help. I know He won’t turn His back on me. He loves me stIll.
3) Giving Love.
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
1 John 4:9-10
This allows me to ask freely because I know that He will always give me His best gifts for me. I am never afraid to ask because He is a good Dad! He knows my needs even before I am aware of them and before I ask, He hears. He makes me lie down in the green pastures of abundance.
4) Motherly/Tender Love.
When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son. The more I called them, the more they went from me; they kept sacrificing to the Baals, and offering incense to idols. Yet it was I who taught Ephraim to walk, I took them up in my arms; but they did not know that I healed them. I led them with cords of human kindness, with bands of love. I was to them like those who lift infants to their cheeks. I bent down to them and fed them.
Hosea 11:1-4
Read these lines again!! What a love! What a nurturing love. My heart burns when I read this verses. Mehn!! I am loved. You are so loved! And to think that these Israelites were not sons of God. They weren’t a part of His family because they couldn’t be born again yet. How much more those He love us!
5) Unfailing Love.
Psalm 143:8
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.”
When you have a love so beautiful, it can be very scary to think of losing it. But Thank God! His love never fails! Never have, never will.
Thank you Father for your love.
